My all time favorite season is finally here – hello Fall!
My absolute favorite thing about Fall is sporting layers, cozy sweaters and different coats and jackets. In this particular blog post, I wanted to focus on using one piece, five different ways. If you know me, you know how much I love long coats and the color grey. So it’s a good thing MUTE BY JOANNE LU sent me this stunning handmade grey cashmere cocoon coat. I love the structure and the fit as it embodies my streetstyle tomboy persona. You can dress it up, dress it down, dress it in so many different variations. I’m so excited to present how I styled it five different ways! Let’s get started!
1. WHITE AFTER LABOUR DAY
I wear white all year round. I’m pretty sure it’s no longer a faux pas in the world of fashion and even if it was, I’d still wear it. If you’ve noticed on my Instagram, my outfits have pretty much been white over the summer. But if it’s one color combo I love, it’s white and grey together. If you’ve noticed, I’ve added some pink into the mix as a transitional feel from Summer to Fall.

Speaking of transitioning from Summer to Fall, this second look has got you covered. In Toronto, the weather is so nice and warm in September. I’m loving the levels in this outfit. Long coat, mini skirt, lace up sandals and hi again white top! Keepin’ that street style, feminine feel while still trying to look oh so cool.

3. GOING DARK
As we get deeper into the season and the weather gets chillier, we tend to gravitate towards darker clothing. I decided to do another look with a skirt and I’m loving the details of this pin stripe skirt so much. Taking the corporate look to the street by pairing it with sleek ankle booties and a black fedora.

White tee, blue jeans, black pumps – it doesn’t get anymore classic then that. Now, not everyone likes distressed denim. But I love mine overly destroyed.

5. GREY ON GREY ON GREY
Last but not least, my eternal love for grey. And as the weather gets into unforgiving temperatures, we need to start layering like crazy and that means cozy thick knit scarves! TBH, it was pretty hot the day we shot this, but if you’re reading this and it’s freezing where you are, I hope you enjoy my cold weather grey on grey outfit inspo.
